About me
I loved drawing and painting since I was a little girl. My father being a musician and my mother, a classical dancer, I grew up in a totally artistic world which was marvelous. They both tried to attract me to each of their specialties and I did my best to please them. I also tried my luck at acting in the theatre and singing in several choirs, all of which enriched my life greatly. But – finally – it is drawing and painting that I can best express what I see around me and what I perceive within me. Thus I am able to put on paper my love for the people, the impression I get from certain landscapes, the way that some of the events of our present world affects me. I can also create very realistic visions, if I want to, or very abstract and deformed versions of these, if I prefer. But most of all, I can give way to my imagination and play with strokes and stains, with water and colours, rejoicing in this beloved activity which is done with brushes, pencils and crayons in your hand and frenzy and emotion in your soul.
That is why I engaged in fine arts at the age of 27. I attended the art studios of Argentine master artists José Rueda, Elena Visnia, Kenneth Kemble and Eduardo Capocasa in Buenos Aires (Argentina), with whom I studied drawing and oil painting. I also participated in collective exhibitions and was granted a solo exhibition in the art gallery “Palermo” (Buenos Aires, 1984). Finally, after having moved to La Cumbrecita (Córdoba) and having spent many years commited to my family, I attended the course “The human figure and the avant-garde” held by Elizabeth Arnold at the Faculty of Fine Arts Figueroa Alcorta (Córdoba, 2009) and the art studio of the watercolourist Roxana Aveta (2010-2012). From that day, I never stopped drawing and painting and became a full-time artist.
